In celebration of Women's History Month, we are co-hosting a special evening Fem Flicks film screening of the documentary Frida: A Ribbon Around a Bomb TOMORROW, Wednesday, March 27 at 6pm in GAB 104. For this particular Fem Flicks event, the UNT Media Library, Multicultural Center, and the Women's & Gender Studies Program welcome the additional sponsorship and support of the Department of Dance & Theatre and the LMAS Program.

Using rare, never-before-seen footage, family interviews, and photographs, Frida: A Ribbon Around a Bomb explores the intimate details of the life of Frida Kahlo. This includes her turbulent relationship with Diego Rivera, her lesbian affairs, and the mastering of the art about her anguished life that made her famous.

The screening will be followed by a special performance by Sara Cardona, artist and executive director at Teatro Dallas. Light refreshments will be provided!
